Wing Foil lessons in Cap Ferrat
Private lessons for all levels with Aurélien (TackSail). Equipment rental for independent sailors.
Wing foiling offers the purest gliding sensation: a foil under the board, an inflatable wing in your hands, and the water flowing silently beneath your feet. Once launched, you literally fly above the surface in near-total silence. At the CVM Nautical Center, you'll be guided by Aurélien, our certified TackSail partner. An experienced instructor in dinghy sailing and foiling, he'll lead you through a clear learning progression: discovering the wing on the beach, your first runs on the water, your first flights, gaining independence, and then perfecting your skills.
The Cap Ferrat spot is particularly well-suited to wing foiling: consistent thermal winds, sheltered waters, and open space to practice without disturbing other users. You'll progress quickly and safely, using modern equipment adapted to your skill level.
Who is this for?
Curious beginners (aged 16 and over, in reasonable physical condition)
Intermediate practitioners who want to correct their position and move to the next level
Experienced riders who rent equipment on an occasional basis
Athletes looking for a new accessible sport
Typical progression in Wing Foil
Getting to grips with the kite on the beach. You learn how to inflate it, hold it, and feel the wind. Allow 15-20 minutes before you step onto the board.
First step
01
First runs on the water. You're kneeling on the board, wing in hand, learning to use the wind to move forward. By the end of the first hour, you're standing up and starting to move.
Second step
02
The first flights. The foil starts to lift, the board takes off, and you're flying! An incredible feeling. Most students fly from the 3rd or 4th session, sometimes earlier if the conditions are good.
Third step
03
Autonomy and improvement. You sail out and back, you choose your equipment, you adapt your strategy to the conditions. The jibes (turns) become fluid, you progress in stronger winds.
Fourth step
04
Our equipment
TackSail, boards and adapted wings
The equipment provided is complete and adapted to your body type and skill level: a board sized for you (more stable at the beginning, more technical later), a progressive foil, wings of several sizes depending on the weather, a wetsuit, an impact vest, a helmet, and
knee pads.
For experienced riders who wish to rent independently, a €300 deposit is required. Your skill level will be quickly assessed before you are allowed to set off.
